Registration Fee for Trademark in UAE

The fee for registering your trademark will cost you between AED 15,000 to AED 20,000.

Renewal of the trademark registration will have to be done once every ten years

The ministry of Economy will send you the initial approval in 30 days

You will then have to pay the ministry to publish the announcement of your application in two Arabic newspapers. If any of the readers of the newspaper objects to your application, then they will lodge a complaint with the ministry, within a certain timeframe. The ministry will assess the complaint and may possibly reject your application.

If your application passes through, you will be given a certificate of trademark registration.

The registration date, the application date, registration number, trade name, and the description of goods and services will all be provided on the certificate.

Infringing Trademark

You can approach the ministry of economy if you think that a business is infringing on your trademark. The penalty that the ministry of economy would impose on the violator includes confiscation of goods and quite possibly imprisonment.
