UAE: How to Apply for 5-year Multi-entry Tourist Visa
Immigration authorities in the UAE have announced a new provision for tourist visas. According to the announcement, tourists to the UAE can now apply for five-year multiple-entry tourist visas. The Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship (ICA) has added that this visa will be open to people from all nationalities, which encourages entrepreneurs to carry out new business setup in Dubai.
What’s new:
This five-year visa is self-sponsored and will facilitate tourists to enter the UAE multiple times and remain in the country for a period of 90 days in each visit. Since it is a five-year visa, tourists will be able to enter UAE each year for a period of 90 days that can be extended to 180 days upon request. The calculation for the consecutive years (after the first year) will begin from the date of the first entry under this visa.
The price for the 5-year multiple-entry tourist visa stands at AED 650, and can be requested online, through the official ICA website.
How to apply
Applicants can apply directly through the official ICA website. Tour agencies haven’t been granted a quota for this visa. The application process is fairly simple as the required documents, bank statements, and other testimonials can be uploaded directly on the website. However, it boils down to the issuing authority to award the visa to the applicant.

Travel agencies have asserted that this improvement comes off as immensely beneficial to tourists, as tour visa bookings have quadrupled over the last several weeks, attributed to the World Expo 2020.
